A fleeting moment where history watches over motion. The statue stands tall, silent and proud, as the yellow bus—the heartbeat of Lagos—rushes by, carrying stories of the present beneath the gaze of the past.

ECHOES OF THE CITY

Taken at a beach in the Republic of Benin, this image represents my vision of Nigeria, and Africa as a whole. My vision of Africa is one that's united beyond colonial borders, rich in culture and material resources, and one that respects elders, thereby creating the opportunity for transgenerational collaboration. This is what I want for Nigeria, too, a Nigeria united beyond ethnic bigotry, and one that's a fertile ground for cultural and economic growth.

Women at the Beach

This is a close-up portrait that focuses intensely on the eyes of a person whose face is partially obscured.  The person is wrapped in what appears to be a colorful fabric or scarf that covers the lower half of their face, leaving only their eyes and the upper bridge of their nose visible. The fabric is patterned with broad vertical stripes, including a prominent yellow-orange and a white band across the nose, framed by darker colors, possibly green or deep blue, at the edges and around the forehead. The colors in the fabric are rich and slightly muted, contributing to a somewhat vintage or moody feel.

VEILED

The eye bears witness to a stalemate traffic at Roundabout, Ìbàdàn. The eye knows Nigeria is a country of stalemates. The eye is furious at the never-ending stalemates. The eye wants this picture to remind it of small and big stalemates. The eye is not naïve. The eye still holds on to hope.

Rooted in dry earth yet full of life, it stands as a witness to time—steady, generous, and unbothered. A moment of shade, light, and stillness.

A vision of a New Nigeria

A subsistence farmer meets the future with the mapping capability of the aerial drone, also he is shown more advanced drones that offer spraying of herbicides in a precise manner which amaze him about what the future holds. A future where technology simplifies the complex task of farming processes such as spraying, crop health, farm plotting etc which will in turn lead to more yield and a bumpier harvest. While more mechanized farms have started embracing this future, the vast majority are still ignorant to such a development in their industry.
